I have a veritable zoo at home, and that's not including the human
animals. My main focus is my 2 dogs, but we also have a cat and an
African Grey. All of my animals except my younger dog are rescues.
I used to have instructions on how to build a free standing gynmasium
for a bird for well under $100, but I'm trying to save space so I
removed it. Here are my comments on parrot ownership.
Here is
advice for new dog owners I wrote a couple of years after getting my
first collie. Some comments on virtual fences can be found here, and some comments on doggie boot camps can be found here. I mush with my collie Suki and my samoyed Zephyr.
I used to cart (rather than mush) with my previous collies, but I
really like mushing and scootering now. I built a home made cart from a
couple of old bicycles, but it was too rickety for high speed travel.
It worked a treat pulling kids at a walking pace though! I taught a
class in basic obedience to my son's boy scout troop, here is the curriculum. I also taught a course on dog (specifically collie) genetics, you can view it here. It is a pretty big powerpoint file, I wish I'd done it in html. Winzip
doesn't do a very good job compressing it, there are a LOT of pictures
so don't open it if you don't have high speed internet.
Here is a commentary on the 4 collies
I've lived with thus far. Can't imagine why anybody else would be
interested in it, but I like to look at the pictures from time to time
It is a word document, also pretty big.
